  Advice girls please!

  And while you're at it (if you don't mind, OP) can you answer a question?

  You know that face a man makes when he's shaving his face? Can you do that down there? Or is it more like the face you make when putting on lipstick?

  I just wondered, that's all.

  I'd be interested to hear the replies on this. Everytime I've tried it its never been smooth as and I've used creams /wax / razors etc etc.

  Bleeding nightmare when it comes back in too

  I find it's best not to shave but to use a hair removal cream.

  The only way I've managed to get mine to what I would call 'perfection' is when I've waxed & then shaved over it the day after.

  ...smooth as a babies bum!

  I waxed mine last Tuesday and shaved over it on Saturday night, it's still smooth, even now.. normally, just from shaving I would have to shave everyday to keep it smooth'ish but I'd be spotty & itchy!:eek: Not a good look, or feel!:p

  Yes, so did mine for the first few times but as there's become less hair and the hairs have become weaker, it's much, much better.

  I started waxing back in Sept/Oct and haven't done a full shave since - it has eventually become less sore and much smoother.

  I tried shaving it all off once. Nightmare. Sore, itchy, gre back quickly... now I just keep it neat and trim. I have to shave more than most women (must have loads of testosterone) and keep hair from my lip, small section of stomach, a section of the lower back, underarms and legs. I don't have the time to be worrying about other areas as well

  And before anyone points and laughs I KNOW I'm a big hairy freak so no need to gasp or whatever.

  And no, I don't use a razor for everything. That'd be silly.

  Veet is okay but it grows back in just the same time as shaving would.

  I also had to shave a bit after doing that as well, it didn't take it all off like I wanted, it just seemed to snap some of the hair.

  i know how you feel i can never get it really smooth from shaving
  to scared to get waxed though so might try some hair removal cream

  Best advice i can give having never done the waxing thing is to shave using a mach 3, or mach 3 turbo (shhhh tho or the hubby will have me lol) that gets you really smooth...for like a day and seems to leave less ingrowing hairs for some reason.

  While were discussing "down there" i would like to know what the correct ettiquette is for going for a smear...bare seems wrong somehow, but then so does a jungle! its one of those questions i need the answer to, but wouldn't dare ask!!:eek:

  Shaving is good until regrowth starts , it was painful when enaged in certain activities.
  Removal cream is way too risky! A salon or laser seems like the best choice , i'd be too shy though:o

  Meh, I imagine they don't care/notice, I bet they've seen all sorts.

  A friend of mine who has 3 kids recently dropped her trousers (but not underwear) to show me a mark on her thigh. And to quote a phrase, it was like a burst cushion! :eek: Her doc must have seen that in its full glory many a time.

  As for the question at hand, I tend to use several methods. I wax the top half and shave the under-carriage. I find that is teh happiest mix in terms of my skin not reacting.

  Also, patience is the key because the more you do it the more your skin gets used to it and the less it reacts.

  I have mine waxed regularly, it's not really that painful. My skin reacted a little when I first had it done, but I used lavender oil to soothe it - and now it's no problem.

  It's perfectly acceptable to go for a smear like that! - I always think hairless is much more hygenic.

  I get terrible ingrown hairs from shaving and I've had such bad experiences with waxing....

  Does anyone else get the whole pee going all over the place when you're bare???!!

  I use a mix of hair removal cream and an epilator, the whole business is such a minefield. Tried waxing and hated it, wish I could afford to have it done professionally, might give it another go - I'm never as smooth as I'd like

  Look girls, don't get a complex about it, it's OK to have a little downy moustache, I quite like a little upper lip fuzz on a girl.

  Asian girls are particularly prone to peach fluff, like her on C4 News.

  Epilator?! How painful is it?
  I can't quite pluck (pardon the pun) up the courage to use it there yet!
  Is there an age of consent on getting it waxed?
