I Thought I Knew What a Good LED Mask Was Until This One Gave Me the Smoothest Skin Ever (2025)

After a decade of being in the beauty industry, I am regrettably and frustratingly jaded. With regards to beauty products: I like them, sometimes I even love them, but so rarely that it borders on never getting excited about them. When the Shark CryoGlow mask arrived, its heftiness and futuristic technology were so off the bat impressive that I knew I was and would continue to be in love. I have been using the mask for four months, but the results were visible after one. My skin is smoother, brighter, dark spots are faded, and the omnipresent redness has been obliterated.

There are four treatment options—the first is six minutes and anti-aging, the second is eight minutes and acne/skin-clearing, the third is four minutes and maintains radiance and glow, and the fourth is no LED lights, just the under-eye depuffing cryo patches. Every morning, I do the anti-aging and the skin-clearing treatments with the cryopads set to intensity 1 or 2. My skin is the clearest and glowiest it's ever been, and that’s not just my own potential delusion. I am not used to getting compliments on my bare skin, but family and friends have been remarking that it looks so smooth, even, and plump.

Shark’s CryoGlow LED Face Mask straps onto your head via two T-shaped velcro straps and has a remote that’s connected on the left side. The remote has a screen, a main button that is also a selection wheel, a back button, and a button to control the eye pads. The mask uses three types of LED light: red, infrared, and blue, and has under-eye pads (two interchangeable sizes) with four cold settings from off to a third intensity.

LED therapy has scientifically proven benefits that include collagen stimulation, elastin improvement, skin firming, blemish reduction, and inflammation soothing. Plus, the cold of the cryopads simultaneously depuffs and awakens eyes. At $349, it’s on the affordable end of the spectrum for LED devices—and way more technologically advanced and effective than its competition.
